World War II / Holocaust / Hiroshima: President Truman

This letter was written in response to a telegram from Senator Richard Russell urging President Truman to wage total war on the Japanese.  He wrote, "We should continue to strike the Japanese until they are brought groveling to their knees."  You can read the full text of Senator Russell's telegram here.
